1tbspstrong instant coffeedissolved in 2 tbsp hot water
For the fudge sauce
1cupbrown sugar
2tbspcocoa powder
1tbspinstant coffee
1/2cupboiling water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a medium ovenproof dish.
Add sugar and mix.
In another bowl, whisk egg, melted butter, vanilla, milk, and dissolved coffee.
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared dish.
Prepare the sauce:Mix brown sugar, cocoa, and instant coffee together.Sprinkle evenly over the batter (do not stir).
Add boiling water:Carefully pour boiling water over the back of a spoon onto the mixture.Do not mix — it will look very watery (that’s correct).Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is set but slightly soft in the centre.
