Aloo gobi (Cauliflower curry) is a vegetarian dish from the Indian subcontinent made with potatoes (aloo), cauliflower (gob(h)i), and Indian spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kilogram(kg) 1/2 kilogram cauliflower ,cut into pieces
  • 2 small onions,chopped
  • 1  tomato chopped
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Salt to taste 
  • potatoes,peeled and cut into piedes
  • 1/2 teaspoon(tsp) garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon(tbsp) coriander leaves,chopped 
  • 1 teaspoon(tsp) coriander/cumin powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon(tbsp) garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon(tsp) red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon(tsp) turmeric

Instructions
 

  • Fry the chopped onions in the oil to a light brown colour
  • Add all the ingredients and cook for a little while before adding the cauliflower and potatoes
  • Cook on low heat until the cauliflower is cooked
  • Add 1 tbsp of water if necessary while cooking
  • Serve with parathas
