- 1,1/2 Kilogram(kg) small peanuts(roasted and skinned)
- 1 Kilogram(kg) jaggery
- 1 Tablespoon(tbsp) oil
Heat the jaggery with the oil, stirring continuously until the liquid gets dark brown and just begins to smoke
The syrup is ready when a drop from it crystallises in a glass of cold water
Quickly add the peanuts and mix thoroughly
Very quickly transfer the mixture onto a greased tray and cut into 4 inch squares
Separate the pieces when cool
