Ingredients
  

  • 300 grams flour
  • 100 grams fine semolina
  • 150 grams melted butter
  • 200 ml warm water
  • 30 grams cornstarch
  • 5 grams vanilla

For the Syrup:

  • 500 grams sugar
  • 300 ml water
  • lemon juice – a squeeze

For garnish:

  • crushed pistachios – as desired

Instructions
 

Prepare dry mix:

  • In a bowl, mix flour, semolina, cornstarch, and vanilla.

Make dough:

  • Add melted butter and warm water, then knead until a smooth, soft dough forms.

Shape pieces:

  • Shape the dough into small “Remoosh El Set” pieces as desired.

Prepare syrup:

  • In a pan, heat sugar and water until dissolved.
  • Add lemon juice and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Let it cool completely.

Fry dough:

  • Heat oil and fry the shaped dough pieces until golden brown and crisp.

Soak in syrup:

  • Remove hot pieces and immediately dip them into the cold syrup.

Garnish:

  • Arrange on a serving plate and sprinkle generously with crushed pistachios.

Cooking:

  • Deep fry on medium heat until evenly golden, then soak immediately in cooled syrup for best texture.
