Tikha Chilla
Tikha besan Chilla or besan cheela is a delicious and healthy savory Indian pancake recipe made with gram flour (besan), aromatics and tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 2 cup gram flour
- 1 teaspoon(tsp) garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon(tsp) ground green chillies
- Salt to taste
- 6 stalks coriander leaves, chopped
- pinch of turmeric
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together with enough water to make a runny mixture
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan
- Reduce heat and pour 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pan, spreading evenly to cover the surface of the pan
- Dab a bit of oil around the edges
- As soon as the edges start to become slightly brown, turn over the chilla to cook the other side
- Dab a bit of oil around the edges and cook until the edges start to become slightly brown
- Repeat steps 2 to 6 for the rest of the mixture
- Serve with coconut chutney or tamarind chutney
