Roast chicken is chicken prepared as food by roasting whether in a home kitchen, over a fire, or with a rotisseri (rotary spit). Generally, the chicken is roasted with its own fat and juices by circulating the meat during roasting, and therefore, are usually cooked exposed to fire or heat with some type of rotary grill so that the circulation of these fats and juices is as efficient as possible.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 * 3 lb lb chicken ,skinned and cut into pieces
  • 6-8 potatoes,peeled
  • 2-3 tablespoons(tbsp) tomato sauce
  • 2-3 tablespoons(tbsp) plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon(tsp) oil
  • 1 tablespoons(tbsp) vinegar salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoons(tbsp) fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Mix the flour, salt, pepper, tomato sauce and vinegar into a paste using water if necessary
  • Coat the chicken pieces with this paste and place in an oven-proof dish
  • Slice the potatoes and arrange around the chicken in the dish 4 Pour oil over the chicken and potatoes
  • Cook in the oven at 180°C (Gas Mark 4 or 350°F) until the chicken is tender
  • Garnish with fried onions when serving
